Subject:  2nd District Joint Commander’s and President’s Project for 2015-2016

Greetings!  I am writing to you about this year’s Commander’s and President’s Project.  The project is at the Luverne Veterans Home and seeks to complete and expand the picnic area to the back (north) of the Home.  There is a small area there now looking out over the pond; a beautiful setting for the veterans to come out and just soak in the great outdoors for a little while.

The goal is to set up this area so families can come and have family reunions/events there.  This would enable families to come to the Veterans Home and have their event so the veteran who lives at the home could attend and enjoy family time for an afternoon.  The veterans who are able would also be able to sit out in the area and enjoy the pond and scenery in a comfortable area.

Thank you for considering a donation to this years’ Commander’s and President’s project.  Donations may be sent directly to the Luverne Veteran’s Home with a notation in the memo line that the money is to go for the project.  Any donations will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for looking at this project.

Sincerely,
